Actor Lee Dong-hwi confessed that he is fearful of praise from actor Lee Je-hoon, who is the head of his agency.
On the 8th, SBS PowerFM's Wendy's Young Street featured Lee Dong-hwi, who is appearing in the play 'The life of others,' as a guest, where he shared various stories related to the production.
That day Lee Dong-hwi said about why he took the role in the play, "After watching the film 'The life of others' I was deeply moved and decided to choose the piece." He continued, "'The life of others' is a work that makes you think about why people live connected to one another and how they influence and receive influence from each other," expressing his deep affection for the work.
He also mentioned the chemistry with the actors who share the stage. In particular, about Jang Seung-jo, who newly joined this season, he said, "We became so close that while chatting we went to each other's houses several times," which drew laughter. When asked to rate the chemistry between the two, he did not hesitate to answer "100 points," boasting their exceptional rapport.
He also revealed an anecdote about the agency head and actor Lee Je-hoon. Referring to the time Lee Je-hoon watched the premiere, he joked, "Back then I invited so many people around me that the cost of the invitations was enormous. This time I told him not to come," which provoked laughter.
About Lee Je-hoon's reaction after performances, he said wittily, "He always showers me with intense praise. But isn't a storm a bit scary? I'm afraid of praise," which made people laugh. When DJ Wendy asked which compliment he remembered most, he replied, "'You did well' and 'You were the best.' Actually there are no special words," drawing more laughter.
In the balance game he showed an honest charm. When asked to choose between the compliments "You sing well" and "You are funny," Lee Dong-hwi answered, "I prefer to hear 'you are funny.'"
He said he often checks with people around him whether he is the funniest person, attracting attention. He said, "I was always number one to a friend, but at one point I dropped to fourth or fifth. I felt bad all day that day," and revealed, "That friend is actor Ko A Sung," adding to the laughter. He added, "I want to reclaim the number one spot."
