Comedian Son Minsu apologized for his immature behavior.
On the 8th episode of KBS2 'The Return of SUPERMAN', Son Minsu was shown taking on sole childcare for his twin son and daughter.
Earlier, Son Minsu was diagnosed with a six-month recovery period, including rehabilitation, after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament while playing futsal. As a result, the previous episode depicted Im La-ra having to handle sole childcare and also care for Son Minsu's illness, which elicited sympathy.
Moreover, Im La-ra had to cover Son Minsu's schedule as a substitute. More than 1,400 comments poured in, and netizens criticized Son Minsu's attitude with remarks such as "Minsu, when will you grow up.. please get your act together", "If you want to do everything you want without holding back, then live alone", "You're so immature. Take responsibility", "You're a father of twins; how can you manage your body like this?", and "Have you completely forgotten your role as a father?"
In response, Son Minsu bowed his head and said he "once again deeply apologizes for getting injured as a father of twins. I read each and every comment".
He explained, "Many people gave me advice, encouragement and even sharp criticism, and I was truly reborn as a new person. I even dyed my hair and will approach childcare with proper posture and renewed commitment."
He said his weight had dropped by as much as 5kg and promised to be reborn, saying, "At that time La-ra suffered from sole childcare; her back and wrist hurt, so she told me to take the children to the hospital today and I decided to take over the childcare."
Meanwhile, Son Minsu and Im La-ra married in 2023, conceived twins through in vitro fertilization, and last October gave birth to a son, Kang-i, and a daughter, Dan-i.
