Actor Lee Jae-wook once again showcased his rom-com mastery in Doctor on the Edge.
Lee Jae-wook played public health doctor Do Ji in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama Doctor on the Edge (directed by Lee Myung-woo, written by Kim Ji-soo, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by The Studio M, original work on KakaoPage "Jonbeo Doctor" by writer Kim Tae-poong), which concluded on the 7th, and led the story with delicate emotional acting.
In the drama, Lee Jae-wook raised viewer immersion by three-dimensionally portraying everything from the character's long-standing wounds from trauma after losing a friend on the island to the psychology shaken by an unjust accusation, and the process of fighting to uphold his convictions.
In particular, he became the focus of suspicion as the cause of a helicopter crash and was embroiled in allegations of drug use, heightening the tension. After facing consecutive trials, including removal from post and the threat of the Pyeondong clinic's closure, he powerfully depicted Ji's resilient inner strength as he exposed the quartermaster's embezzlement and reclaimed the clinic.
At the same time, he revealed his true value as a "rom-com artisan" by bringing to life the romance chemistry in the process of becoming a devoted support and showing tender feelings for Ha-ri (played by Shin Ye Eun), drawing attention.
In this way, Lee Jae-wook built another meaningful filmography with performances that encompassed laughter, excitement and emotion. As Lee Jae-wook, who shows a new face in each project, raises high expectations for what kind of performance he will show viewers next,
