Hollywood actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have ended a 10-year period of separation.
According to People magazine on the 6th (local time), Jada Pinkett Smith has been living with her husband Will Smith again for about two years.
A close source said, "Jada started living with Will again two years ago," and "The two are happy and love each other. They continue to support each other as they always have." The report said the two spent the recent holiday on the 4th, the U.S. Independence Day, together.
The two drew major attention to their marriage in 2023 following Jada's revelation. At the time Jada said, "We were separated for seven years," and "We are still in the process of figuring out what our relationship should look like together." She added, "We have worked very hard for each other, and we still have a deep love for each other."
She also said in an interview with the U.K. Daily Mail at the end of that year that the "Oscar assault incident" involving Will Smith at the 2022 Academy Awards actually became an opportunity to reflect on their marriage.
She said, "For a long time I debated whether I should leave Will, but through that incident I realized I would never leave him," and "If that had not happened, I don't know what our relationship would be like now."
But speculation about separation continued afterward. In January 2025 People reported that the two were still living in separate homes. At the time, a close source said, "They live their own lives but have not completely severed the relationship," explaining, "They have maintained separate homes for years but are still a couple together."
Since then Will Smith and Jada have gradually increased their appearances together at public events. In September last year they were spotted dining together at a restaurant in Malibu, U.S., for the first time in about a year, and last month they attended a Christian Louboutin Paris Fashion Week event accompanied by their son Jaden Smith, who participated as a creative director, showing their unchanged family affection.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith married in December 1997 and have two children, son Jaden and daughter Willow. Will Smith is also the father of eldest son Trey, from his previous marriage to Sheree Zampino, making him the father of three children.
