Actors Park Boyoung and Son Suk-ku meet in a romantic comedy.
On the 8th, OSEN reported that Park Boyoung and Son Suk-ku will appear in director Kang Hyoung-chul's new film "If I'm with you" (working title).
"If I'm with you" is known as a fantasy romantic comedy depicting stories that unfold on a cruise ship involving Korean and foreign actors. It is the new work of director Kang Hyoung-chul, who made "Scandal Makers," "Sunny," "Tazza: The High Rollers," "Swing Kids" and "Hi, Five," with production by Sidus and distribution investment by NEW.
In particular, Park Boyoung reunites with director Kang Hyoung-chul 18 years after the hit "Scandal Makers" (2008), which drew 8.22 million viewers. At the time, "Scandal Makers" was Kang Hyoung-chul's feature film debut and Park Boyoung's first box-office hit, giving special meaning to both. Park Boyoung, who began as a child actor, rose to stardom at once and has since established herself as a leading actress in her 30s.
It is also noteworthy that Park Boyoung and Son Suk-ku will star as the female and male leads in a fantasy romantic comedy. This is the first time the two actors will work together in a single project, and the unexpectedly fresh combination is attracting attention. Son Suk-ku has mainly shown intense and masculine charm in works including the 10-million-view film "The Roundup," "The Murderer?" "D.P.," "Big Bet" and "My Liberation Notes." This time, pairing with Park Boyoung, who is known as the epitome of loveliness, in a romantic comedy raises expectations for what chemistry and new charms they will show.
Meanwhile, Park Boyoung recently appeared in the Disney+ series "Gold Land," and Son Suk-ku is set to appear in the Netflix series "road."
