HYBE music group label BigHit Music announced on the 8th through an official statement that it had suddenly announced the news of a contract renewal with Lee Hyun.
With this renewal, Lee Hyun and BigHit Music will mark a beautiful journey of companionship for a full 19 years since signing their first exclusive contract in 2007. In a rapidly changing music industry, maintaining a relationship with one agency for nearly 20 years is extremely unusual, and it is said to have been possible because of deep mutual trust and respect.

Lee Hyun signed an exclusive contract in 2007 as the first artist of BigHit Music (then BigHit Entertainment) and debuted in the mixed-gender group 8eight. 8eight, which was produced directly by HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk, created numerous mega-hits such as 'I have no heart', 'Trying to stop those lips', and 'Goodbye comes', establishing itself as the top mixed-gender group that dominated the 2000s.
After that, Lee Hyun formed the duo Homme with 2AM's Lee Chang-min in 2010 and received great popular love with "You just eat well," and his solo song "The best of mine" also became a hit, solidifying his position as a representative vocalist of Korea.
