Singer Brian recalled the time he was hospitalized for five days due to overwork and health problems and revealed that he prayed, "I still must not die yet."
On the 7th a video titled "I came back from the brink of death… liver enzymes skyrocketed and even a brain scan, Brian collapses from overwork forced rest vlog" was posted on the YouTube channel The Brian.
Appearing looking pale, Brian said, "My immunity has recently dropped a lot and I was in the hospital. I was hospitalized for five days with a high fever of unknown origin and underwent various tests," and added, "I thought I should really rest properly once I was discharged," updating fans on his condition.
He said that his liver enzymes rose significantly and he was advised to abstain from alcohol for a month. Brian said, "While I was in the hospital I thought about throwing away all the alcohol at home. When you get sick you realize health is the most important thing," and added, "I don't even crave alcohol for the time being."
Above all, he confessed that just before being hospitalized he looked at his pet dogs and imagined the worst, evoking sympathy.
He said, "The night before going to the hospital I hugged my dogs tightly and cried, saying, 'If dad doesn't come back meet a good owner, and it's OK to forget dad,'" and added, "As I age and get sick all kinds of thoughts came to mind."
He also reenacted the prayer he said in the ward. Brian said with a smile while conveying his feelings at the time, "God, I still must not die. The house was built just over a year ago. Let me live another 50 years," revealing his earnestness about his health.
In fact, Brian recently attracted attention by completing a large mansion of about 300 pyeong in Pyeongtaek with a swimming pool, movie theater and gym. Earlier he had shown the house on his YouTube channel to Eunhyuk and Donghae of Super Junior. When asked about the house price he first answered "about 7 billion to 8 billion won" and then corrected himself, saying "it should be at least 10 billion won," surprising viewers.
Meanwhile, in a recent conversation with Hwanhee Brian candidly disclosed his home shopping income. He explained, "Home shopping operates on appearance fees rather than commissions based on sales," saying, "I have sold about 4.4 billion won worth of Dyson vacuums so far, but there is no additional profit based on the sales amount." He also noted that "the money earned from home shopping over two to three years was more than what I earned in 25 years of being a singer," drawing attention.
