DinDin said, "The next day an article came out saying I had 'targeted Son Heung-min.' The matter grew and I received calls from friends. They said, 'Why did you say at the broadcast what you would say at a drinking gathering?' and told me I was crazy."
During the 2022 World Cup season, Korea beat Portugal and dramatically secured a place in the round of 16. DinDin said, "Of all times, I had coronavirus and couldn't leave the house. I was so happy at the moment the goal went in, but at the same time the phones started ringing," and said he reflected on it.
DinDin said, "I could have just said, 'I hope we reach the round of 16 but it won't be easy,' but my expression was too strong," and added, "After that I spent four years apologizing everywhere. As I went around apologizing, the World Cup season came again," which made people laugh. <
