As a result, "Pupil" recorded a cumulative audience of 930,810, continuing its momentum toward 1 million viewers. "Pupil" had also drawn 43,650 viewers nationwide the previous day on the 6th, when it ranked No. 1 at the box office. This is notable because it pushed Disney Studios Pixar's animated blockbuster "Toy Story 5" out and reclaimed the top spot at the domestic box office.
"Pupil" is a suspense thriller about Seojin (Shin Mina), who is gradually losing her sight to a hereditary disease, uncovering suspicions surrounding the death of her twin sister Seoin (Shin Mina) and confronting the truth. It is adapted into a Korean-style version from the Spanish film "The Body of Julia".
In particular, the film has attracted attention as Shin Mina's screen comeback after marrying fellow actor Kim Woo-bin following a long public relationship with a junior actor.
