YG Entertainment took another step forward as a leader in the global entertainment market by publishing the 2026 sustainable performance report, which contains performance planning that realizes environmental and social values and vivid results.
On the 8th, according to YG Entertainment, this report is the result that condenses the concrete implementation plans of the seven frameworks established after declaring "sustainable performances" in 2024, the first among domestic entertainment companies (greenhouse gas management·improving performance accessibility·fan engagement·enhancing content impact·venue safety management·reducing environmental pollution·sustainable performance governance), and the meaningful interim achievements of the "2030 sustainable performance roadmap."
In particular, YG's innovative attempt was abruptly applied to the global stages of top group Blackpink's new world tour "DEADLINE," which unfolded spectacularly from 2025, drawing worldwide attention. YG collaborated with world-class large venues such as London's Wembley Stadium, Singapore National Stadium, and Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium, elevating global standards.
The company's own "sustainable performance venue standard" built on this foundation is regarded as having raised the level of practical eco-friendly performance operations to a higher dimension.
The visible achievements over the past two years are also noteworthy. Starting with Blackpink's "BORN PINK" Seoul concert in 2023, YG operated on-site "YOUR GREEN STEP" booths measuring audience carbon footprints at a total of 12 performances by YG artists including TREASURE, BABYMONSTER, and AKMU, creating a phenomenon with a cumulative participant count of as many as 34,755.
On Blackpink's world tour "DEADLINE," the scope of greenhouse gas accounting was greatly expanded to eight cities worldwide including Goyang, London, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, and Bangkok, and professional personnel were deployed to thoroughly manage waste. In particular, collaborating with Tetra Pak·Nature Dream, they specially produced sterilized pack water "Blackpink water" in Blackpink's signature color to show direct participation in carbon reduction. At the Goyang concert, they also opened a climate action collaboration booth with the British Embassy in Korea to spread positive influence by practicing climate change responses with fans in daily life.
Multifaceted barrier-free efforts to lower the "threshold" of performances are also being applauded. In addition to deploying specialized accessibility staff trained for different disability types, they created a festival that everyone can enjoy together by providing accessibility maps and guide videos, global audience services, real-time text interpretation, and sensory bags. Furthermore, starting this year they signed a memorandum of understanding with the social welfare foundation Warm Companion and launched the "Universal Stage" project in earnest, taking the lead in creating a non-discriminatory performance culture.
This report, recognized for its differentiated strategic completeness and global scalability, also achieved the feat of winning the Creative Leadership Award at the 8th Hansol Inspire Awards held on May 14, ahead of its official publication.
