Group Arhop is ready to run into listeners' hearts this summer.
Arhop held a showcase to commemorate the release of their third mini album RUN TO YOU (런 투 유) at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 8th and talked about the new album.
After releasing the mini 2nd album The Passage last November, Arhop, returning after eight months, said, "We worked hard preparing for the comeback with the members. I feel nervous and excited, but like the title "RUN TO YOU," we will run hard, so please watch over us a lot," he said.
Arhop's new album RUN TO YOU expands the youth narrative Arhop has continued over the past year and sings about youth who have confidence in their feelings and move forward without hesitation.
Cha Woong-gi described this album as "a heart that heads forward without hesitation. An album that contains a heart that goes straight toward one person."
Seo Jeong-woo added, "This album contains everything from refreshing to intense. Along with familiar images, I hope you watch our more grown, intense side that we haven't been able to show."
The title track RUN TO YOU is a song that contains the energy of going straight toward one person even amid complicated moments. With a refreshing yet addictive melody and dynamic performance, it promises the birth of a new summer song that will properly target this summer.
Steven answered about the difference from previous albums, "If previous albums captured the growth process of youth, this time I tried to include a masculine mature charm with the clear expression of going straight."
Regarding the performance, Park Joo-won said, "It is Arhop's youth. The choreography expresses Arhop's journey running not simply by running but by traversing spaces."
Arhop, who has been singing about youth since their debut, said, "We have been talking about youth since our debut, and both the first and second albums are about youth, but they sing about youth that contains not only happiness but also pain. Because we debuted not long ago, we feel that we can best express now the preciousness of youth on the run, so we have continued doing it."
Asked about the secret to boasting popularity while continuing career highs with each album, Jeon said, "I think it's thanks to our albums containing various charms. The title track has refreshing energy that suits summer, and the pre-release track shows a manly and hip-hop side, which I think is Arhop's strength."
Daisuke also answered, "We have five foreign members, and because we are a team where different cultures and good points gather, we seem to receive a lot of love from foreign fans as well."
Arhop recently celebrated their first debut anniversary. Park Joo-won said, "Looking back on one year, I think time has flown. We have many memories built over the year, and all the members are curious about what will happen next and how many more good memories we will make," and Seo Jeong-woo expressed gratitude, saying, "There were times when preparing this album was hard for all of us, but each time we cheered each other on and were able to fill each other's shortcomings more. I remember that when someone was struggling, others didn't hesitate to approach and comfort them."
Finally, on the achievements they want to gain from this album, Arhop said, "We want to be No. 1 on music shows. Every time we receive a trophy on stage, we are happy thinking it is a result we achieved. We want to create precious moments with fans during this promotion," and added, "We received excessive love for our first and second albums during past promotions, and if many people love our music in this promotion, we will be satisfied."
