Band DAY6 member Young K opened a concept film for his new solo full-length album, heightening comeback anticipation.
Young K, who will release his second full-length album 'YOUNGEST' on July 27, thus returns as a solo artist after about 2 years and 10 months. After announcing the new release on the 6th, on the afternoon of the 7th he sequentially released two videos that offer a glimpse of the overall mood of the new album.
In the first video, which begins with the phrase "THE YOUNGEST SHOW," Young K conducts an uncanny interview looking somewhat nervous. Constantly opening and closing doors, complex ropes that pull at him, and light leaking through a crack in the door are among the mysterious visuals that continue and capture attention.
By contrast, the second video conveys a mood opposite to the first. Facing another version of himself, Young K gives a faint smile, and the heavy message "NOT GONNA LET ANYONE HURT ME ANYMORE" that appears in the latter part of the video amplifies curiosity about the musical story contained in this "YOUNGEST."
Since debuting in 2015, Young K has personally worked on numerous hits such as "Congratulations," "You Were Beautiful," and "So That It Can Be a Page," offering listeners warm empathy and comfort. Having recently been active across variety shows, drama, OSTs and YouTube, expectations are building for what charm he will show with this solo record, his first major release since his first full-length album Letters with notes in September 2023.
Meanwhile, Young K's second full-length solo album "YOUNGEST" will be officially released on July 27 at 6 p.m. on music platforms worldwide.
