Singer-songwriter Yebit sings about excitement and happiness.
Yebit will release her new single 'Airplane' at 6 p.m. on the 7th through various music streaming sites.
"Airplane" is a double single that includes the title track "Airplane" and the bonus track "carrot nodaji (demo)", and the title track "Airplane" is a bossa nova song that expresses the excitement and happiness of a trip taken with a loved one and the hope that that moment will last a long time.
A representative explained that the album "expresses the excitement felt on a trip to Jeju and the lingering aftertaste that remains long after the trip in Yebit's warm sensibility. She also participated in the songwriting and composition on this album, embedding her own musical colors."
Regarding the title track 'Airplane,' they said, "A comfortable melody and Yebit's distinctive cozy timbre come together to convey the romance of travel and warm consolation."
The bonus track "carrot nodaji (demo)" is a song whose kitschy title stands out by rendering the Portuguese word saudade as "nodaji." Through lyrics that vividly depict Jeju's scenery, it captures the desire to return there and the memories of staying in Jeju.
Yebit currently runs a YouTube channel with more than 500,000 subscribers. She won the bronze prize at the 29th Yoojahae Music Competition in 2018 and officially debuted in 2020 with the single "Smile for me." In 2021 she was recognized for her musicality after being selected as a CJ Cultural Foundation Tune Up musician for the 22nd class, overcoming a competition rate of 92 to 1.
