Actor Kim Bo-sung revealed that he suffered losses close to his entire fortune due to failed stock investments, expressing bittersweet feelings.
On the 6th, Kim Bo-sung, who appeared on KBS2's 'Malja Show', was listening to a caller whose loyalty led them into a cult and advised, "It's because your heart is kind. Get rid of bad people quickly."
He then said, "You should always listen to what a woman says. There's nothing wrong with listening to your wife," and brought up his own experience.
Kim Bo-sung said, "I kept my loyalty even in stocks. I stayed loyal to one stock until the end," and confessed, "I could have moved when I briefly made a profit, but I held out until the end. In the end, the stock fell to one-twentieth and I went broke." He added, "If I had listened to my wife, I wouldn't have lost my entire fortune in stocks," expressing regret.
Kim Bo-sung has previously said he lost assets equivalent to two houses in Gangnam due to stock investments. However, he emphasized that the purpose of the investment was not simply to make money. He said, "I didn't start because of greed for money or material things. If the stocks did well, I wanted to make a lump sum to donate more," and expressed disappointment, "After losing the stocks, I was only able to donate a few tens of millions of won."
He added, "Please don't misunderstand that it was loyalty for sharing," and urged, "Childhood cancer has a high cure rate. I hope people will show much interest in children with cancer and those with rare intractable diseases."
In fact, Kim Bo-sung is known to have continued donating several tens of millions of won annually.
MC Kim Young-hee also chimed in, "The very reason Kim Bo-sung started stocks was to donate more," and added, "He always said that if the stocks did well, he would use them for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and children with cancer. I hope there are no misunderstandings."
