DinDin said, "The next day an article came out saying 'Son Heung-min targeted.' The matter grew bigger and I started getting calls from friends. They said, 'Why did you say at the broadcast what you were going to say at a drinking gathering?'"
In the 2022 World Cup season, Korea beat Portugal and dramatically secured a place in the round of 16. DinDin said, "Of all times, I caught COVID and couldn't leave the house. I was so happy when the goal went in, but at the same time the phone kept ringing," and joked, "Kyu-hyun hyung called and said, 'I can't watch anymore.'"
DinDin said, "I really reflected a lot then. It was a good quarantine. I should have said, 'I hope we reach the round of 16 but it won't be easy'; my wording was too strong," and added, "After that I spent four years apologizing everywhere," which drew laughter.
