Hollywood top star Zendaya (29) once again turned London upside down by showcasing an unprecedented "method dressing" (costume matched to the work's concept).
Zendaya attended the star-studded world premiere of the film The Odyssey at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London on the 6th (local time), lighting up the event. In the film, which is set to be released on July 17, Zendaya plays Athena, the goddess of wisdom, war and crafts, collaborating with master director Christopher Nolan.
On the red carpet that day, Zendaya appeared in a dramatic Schiaparelli couture dress that seemed to summon the goddess Athena to life, monopolizing the spotlight. The outfit was reported to be one Zendaya wore just hours after it was unveiled at Paris Couture Week, adding to the astonishment. At the following event, she changed into a chiffon dress with a fresh green leaf design, completing a perfect "summer mood" goddess visual.
Especially notable was the attendance of her husband Tom Holland (30), who officially acknowledged their marriage in secret last month, showing steadfast affection. Tom Holland, who impressed in a dark blue suit with a dandy charm, appears alongside his wife in the film as Telemachus, the son of Odysseus and prince of Ithaca.
Also in attendance was a dazzling lead lineup. From Anne Hathaway (43), who, after announcing her third pregnancy last month, displayed a beautiful D-line and revealed queen Penelope's elegance in a blue strapless dress, to Matt Damon in the title role of Odysseus, and Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, Travis Scott and others, the event enjoyed an all-time celebration.
Christopher Nolan's new film The Odyssey, based on Homer's ancient Greek epic, is Nolan's largest-scale project in his history, with a production budget of as much as $250 million (about 38.0725 billion won). The film is receiving high expectations from the film industry after the previous installment was shot with an IMAX 70mm camera.
Although there was debate among some over so-called "historical accuracy" surrounding the casting phase, Nolan expressed strong pride, saying it projects onto the screen exactly the way the first audiences received the story.
