Jung Eun-Chae erases the lawyer from "Honor" and transforms into a detective to show a new side of herself.
SBS's new Fri-Sat drama Flex x Cop 2 boasts the detective class that soars above the running chaebol with Jung Eun-Chae. With Park Ji-hyun leaving after season 1 and Jung Eun-Chae newly joining, expectations are even higher.
Following 'Manager Kim', SBS's new Fri-Sat drama 'Flex x Cop 2' (produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, BA Entertainment), which premieres on Aug. 7 (Fri) at 9:50 p.m., is a breezy, refreshingly satisfying investigative collaboration about chaebol detective Jin E-su, who flips the script with wealth when investigations stall, and new team leader Joo Hye-ra, whose money-driven tactics punch above their weight. It forms one pillar of SBS dramas' signature Fri-Sat 'cider universe,' including 'Taxi Driver,' 'The Fiery Priest,' 'The Judge from Hell,' and 'Good Partner.' Riding the popularity of season 1 and returning with an expanded world, 'Flex x Cop 2' will energetically kick off SBS's trusted serialized drama lineup for 2026.
Meanwhile, Flex x Cop 2 released the first stills of Jung Eun-Chae, who will play Joo Hye-ra, the unprecedented chaebol detective Jin E-su (Ahn Bo-hyun)'s new investigative partner, drawing attention. Joo Hye-ra is a former Korean National Police Agency counterterrorism team ace who volunteered to be head of violent crimes team 1 at Gangha Police Station and becomes Jin E-su's direct superior. Known as the 'devil instructor' who harshly disciplined trainee Jin E-su when she was a police academy instructor, Joo Hye-ra will reunite this time as an investigative partner, raising expectations about what kind of cooperation and chemistry they will show.
In the released stills, Jung Eun-Chae is fully immersed in the veteran detective character of the violent crimes team. Her crisply tailored police uniform and boyish black leather jacket are worn with casual chic, creating a stylish image. What especially captures the viewer's attention is Jung Eun-Chae's intense, burning gaze. The look of determination to catch cunning criminals completes the aura of a veteran investigation team leader. Her appearance dismounting a motorcycle in a neat uniform conveys a presence comparable to a chaebol detective who drives a supercar to work, prompting anticipation for her role as the detective who soars above the running chaebol.
