Ko Doo-shim missed the late Kim Su-mi.
On the 6th broadcast of tvN STORY 'What to do with what's left', Ko Doo-shim, Jo Hana and Park Soon-chun appeared.
That day, as Ko Doo-shim was entering a restaurant in Jeju Province, she discovered a photo of the late Kim Su-mi and could not take her eyes off it.
Ko Doo-shim said, "When I see Seo-dae Park-dae, I still think of Sumi unnie's face. When we did 'Rural Diary' the actors only brought lunchboxes with food to eat. After 'Rural Diary' ended, I saw her carrying a large rice cooker around. Sumi unnie would pack side dishes in bundles on shooting days. Like a buffet. She even looked after the staff," sharing anecdotes of Kim Su-mi, whose warmth she had built up over a long time.
Park Soon-chun recalled the moment she heard the news of Kim Su-mi's death, saying, "I heard she passed away in the car while on a regional performance trip. Senior Lee Gye-in went to the funeral crying."
Ko Doo-shim said, "Food always reminds me of Sumi unnie. She liked making food and feeding people," showing that she could not continue speaking because of her longing.
Park Soon-chun also said, "She felt like a textbook that taught me how to live. The glamorous image fit Kim Su-mi so well. For 22 years on 'Rural Diary' she was a master of ad-lib. It was amazing. It's so sad and heartbreaking that we can't see that side of her again."
Meanwhile, Kim Su-mi passed away in 2024 from hyperglycemic shock. She was 75 at the time.
