Actor Lee Junyoung said he learned military basics from Song Kang ahead of his enlistment.
Cable channel tvN's variety program 'You Quiz on the Block' released a short video on the 7th with the description, "D-14, prospective trainee Lee Junyoung's You Quiz time. What is Lee Junyoung's answer, who marshaled all the military knowledge he learned from Song Kang?"
The released video contained footage of Lee Junyoung appearing on 'You Quiz on the Block,' which airs on the 8th, solving quizzes. Yu Jae-seok posed a question to Lee Junyoung that read, "Which of the following is incorrect as common knowledge about military life?"
The choices were "Trainees cannot use the PX at will," "Even a private second class can lie down in the barracks during rest time," "Drill instructors at the recruit training unit can be sergeant first class or higher," and "Active-duty soldiers are supported 10,000 won per month for haircuts," four in total.
Laughing after hearing the question, Lee Junyoung said, "I haven't been to the military..." and was embarrassed. Yu Jae-seok read the choices again for Lee Junyoung, and Lee Junyoung mentioned the military knowledge he learned from Song Kang, saying, "Yesterday Song Kang hyung said, 'Hey, you can go to the PX.'"
When Yu Jae-seok explained the choices again, Lee Junyoung said, "Nowadays they say you use a squadmates' barracks. Song Kang hyung told me that too," and added, "I only heard that there is someone who cuts hair inside there..." drawing attention. It appears that Song Kang, who has completed military service, gave advance advice to Lee Junyoung, who is about to enlist.
Lee Junyoung acted opposite Song Kang in tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama Four Hands, which premieres on Aug. 29. Lee Junyoung is scheduled to enlist on the 21st.
