Group (G) I-dle's Soyeon mentioned the driving force that allows them to continuously attempt changes.
On the 6th, at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, the group's ninth mini album 'We made' media showcase was held.
We made is the group's new release, coming six months after this year's digital single 'Mono (Feat. SKAI worldwide)', and contains a more pop-oriented charm than before.
The title track "Gimme Dat Love" depicts a love that feels like a thirst when two people are strongly drawn to each other, honestly expressing the spreading feelings of love like gaze, touch and temperature. In addition, the album includes the self-composed song Love Is Pain by Wooyoung and the members' outstanding vocal performances, the positive and upbeat daily life song Morning, and other sensuous and diverse tracks that are expected to capture listeners' ears.
Revealing the "Gimme Dat Love" stage for the first time that day, member Minnie said, "I was very nervous, but we prepared very hard and did our best. I think you might like it. Please listen a lot and give us your interest and love."
With I-dle's changes noticeable on this album as well, Soyeon opened up, saying, "While preparing this album, we actually tried various attempts starting from 'Mono'."
She said, "Because it's been nine years since our debut, it seems longer, and we ourselves sometimes get tired of ourselves and want to do something new and fun. After many challenges, we thought about what kind of story to tell."
She explained, "The driving force is that we are friends who want to do music for a long time and like fun things, so we like these changes and that becomes the driving force."
Meanwhile, I-dle's ninth mini album We made and the title track "Gimme Dat Love" will be released today (the 6th) at 6 p.m.
