"Love On The Menu" Ryu Seung-soo and Jin Kyung's meal was caught on camera.
The KBS 2TV new weekend drama Love On The Menu (directed by Hong Seok-gu, written by Lee Kyung-hee), which premieres at 8 p.m. on the 25th, is a family drama that tells the story of two men and women who piece together a broken family and prepare the warmest table of life in the world.
The stills released on the 6th captured Kwon Hae-hyo (as Jang Hoon-tae), Yoon Yoo-sun (as Go Yoon-hee), Ryu Seung-soo (as Han Seok-joong) and Jin Kyung (as Hong Ok-seon). The relationships of the four characters, each with different backstories and emotions, are foreshadowed, raising anticipation for the premiere.
First, Kwon Hae-hyo plays fashion company chairman Jang Hoon-tae, showing the charm of a gentleman with dignity. After losing his wife and going through a period of wandering, Jang Hoon-tae remarries Go Yoon-hee and regains happiness. In front of his family he is a loving husband and a reliable father, and even in his relaxed smile he reveals a weighty presence.
Yoon Yoo-sun plays Go Yoon-hee, who bears deep wounds. Forced to leave with her three children after her husband demanded a one-sided divorce in the past, she starts a new life after remarrying Jang Hoon-tae, but longing and guilt for her children do not easily fade. Yoon Yoo-sun will express the poignant emotions hidden behind a happy smile with her trademark delicate acting.
Ryu Seung-soo plays Han Seok-joong, the irresponsible head of the Han family. After divorcing his first wife he remarried, but an unexpected situation arises when his second wife also causes problems and disappears. Even so, he is a character who dreams of a turnaround in life with his characteristic optimistic personality. In the released stills he is shown with a heavier expression than usual, adding to the curiosity about his story.
Jin Kyung transforms into self-made CEO Hong Ok-seon, who built a large company. She has strong and cool charisma but harbors deep maternal affection for her son Kim Mu-jin (played by Ha Seok-jin). Her understated attire does not hide her dignity and firm gaze, which complete the character's weight.
In particular, a scene was captured in which Han Seok-joong, father of Han Gyu-rim (played by Ahn Heeyeon), and Hong Ok-seon, mother of Kim Mu-jin, sit together and have a meal. Beyond their children's connections, it piques curiosity about what backstory is entwined between the two of them.
The production team said the following: Kwon Hae-hyo and Yoon Yoo-sun convey in their eyes alone the meaning of happiness rediscovered after life's ups and downs. Please watch how the story the two, who become each other's strong refuge, will be conveyed with resonance.
