Park Sun-cheon revealed the casting behind "Country Diary"
On the 6th episode of tvN STORY "What are you leaving behind?", Ko Doo-shim, Jo Ha-na and Park Sun-cheon appeared.
Park Sun-cheon said, "I first appeared on "Country Diary" in October 1983. The director asked to meet, so I was looking forward to it. The first line was, 'What do you think of senior Yu In-chon?' (Then) 'How about marrying Yu In-chon?'" recalling the meeting.
Park Sun-cheon said she mistook the casting question for a marriage proposal. Park Sun-cheon said, "I liked him but I should ask my parents," and later found out she was cast as the second daughter-in-law. She filmed with the mindset of experiencing life as a daughter-in-law.
Jo Ha-na also recalled the time she was cast. She said, "It was a time when I never thought of myself as rustic. I used to be told I looked exotic. (The director) happened to see me passing by at the drama bureau and said he saw a rural look."
