The rise of the group Cortis is fierce. In less than a year since debut, they have surpassed 900 million cumulative streams and continue an overwhelming upward trend.
On July 6, BigHit Music said, "Cortis has recorded approximately 903.9 million cumulative streams on Spotify for 13 songs released after debut (as of July 4). They are on the verge of reaching 1 billion streams in under a year since debut."
This record is the combined number of plays for the mini album 1st 'Color Outside the Lines (COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES),' released in September last year, the mini album 2nd 'Greengreen (GREENGREEN),' released in May, and the play count of the insert song from Sony Pictures Animation's 'GOAT.'
What stands out is the steep upward trend. Cortis reached 700 million cumulative streams on Spotify on May 27, then surpassed 800 million on June 15. An additional 100 million streams were added 19 days later. It is also meaningful in that the record came 10 months after debut.
Cortis is setting firsts and records for the most among boy groups debuting within the past five years. They have topped various charts and proven their rising dominance with long-term popularity. Attention is on what other records Cortis's rise will produce.
