Former T-ara member and actress Ryu Hwa-young surprised fans by revealing her groom-to-be and then proposing.

Facing a September wedding, Ryu Hwa-young performed an energetic DJ set in styling reminiscent of a wedding dress.
As Ryu Hwa-young's performance wound down amid the heated atmosphere, she revealed her groom-to-be, who had served as her one-day manager that day, to the public for the first time. Ryu Hwa-young said, "I prepared this as a surprise. Shall I call my husband?" as she invited the crowd and her groom-to-be.
When Ryu Hwa-young called him, the groom-to-be, led out by staff, captured attention with a dependable demeanor and warm looks. Ryu Hwa-young dropped to one knee and proposed, saying, "Thank you for marrying me, honey." The shy groom-to-be accepted a bouquet, bowed together at a 90-degree angle and conveyed his gratitude for the outpouring of congratulations.
Ryu Hwa-young debuted in the entertainment industry in 2010 as a member of the group T-ara. Serving as the group's rapper, Ryu Hwa-young left the group after two years and transitioned to acting, appearing in Gu-yeochin Club, Age of Youth, Descendants of the Sun, Father Is Strange, Age of Youth 2, Mad Dog, The Beauty Inside, and Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.
Ryu Hwa-young is scheduled to marry on Sept. 12. Her groom-to-be is reported to be a businessman three years her senior, and he said, "Adding certainty to my excitement, we now intend to walk the same path. Beyond love, we have decided to become each other's everything."
