[OSEN] voice actor Nam Do-hyung mourned the late Kang Hee-seon, who passed away.
Nam Do-hyung posted a memorial message on his social account on the 4th that said, "Senior Kang Hee-seon, thank you sincerely for warmly looking after and guiding me since my first year at the company. I will not forget that warm heart for a long time. I offer my deepest condolences to the deceased."
In the early hours of that day, voice actor Kang Hee-seon died at the age of 66. According to her family, voice actor Kang Hee-seon died of a chronic illness at about 2:10 a.m. on the 4th.
Kang Hee-seon joined in 1979 as part of the TBC voice acting troupe's 10th class and became a KBS voice actor in its 15th class after the 1980 broadcast consolidation. She served as president of the KBS voice acting troupe and senior vice chair of the Korea Voice Performance Association from 2013 to 2016. In animation she worked on ''Mobile Suit Gundam'', ''Detective Conan'', ''Anne of Green Gables'', ''Sailor Moon'', ''Olympus Guardian'', ''Tangu and Ullachong'', and in foreign films she was the regular Korean voice for Sharon Stone. She was especially familiar for her role as Bong Mi-sun, Shin-chan's mother, in ''Crayon Shin-chan''.
A wake was set up in room 31 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital. The funeral procession is scheduled for 7:40 a.m. on the 6th, and the burial site is Yongin Park Honorstone.
