Voice actor and actress Kim Sun-hye was plunged into deep sorrow by the news of the late Kang Hee-seon.
On the 4th Kim Sun-hye posted a tribute on her social account saying, "Senior Kang Hee-seon. I hope you won't be in pain there. My deepest condolences."
According to the bereaved family, the late voice actor Kang Hee-seon passed away in the early morning of that day from a chronic illness. She was 66.
Debuting in 1979 as a KBS 15th class public recruitment voice actor, Kang Hee-seon worked on the animation "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Detective Conan," "Anne of Green Gables," "Sailor Moon," "Olympus Guardian," "Tangu and Ullashong," and in foreign films she was the dedicated voice for Sharon Stone. She was especially familiar as the role of Bong Mi-sun, Shin-chan's mother, in "Crayon Shin-chan."
She left "Crayon Shin-chan" in August last year for health reasons, and concern was raised as her previously revealed battle with cancer during her appearance on "You Quiz on the Block" was reexamined.
The voice acting community fell into deep sorrow over the news of Kang Hee-seon's death. Following voice actor Nam Do-hyung, voice actor Kim Sun-hye also expressed her condolences and grief, evoking sadness.
Meanwhile, Kim Sun-hye joined CJ ENM's voice acting troupe in 2000 as a fourth class member and has been active as a voice actor and actress. She appeared in the dramas "Age of Youth," "The Penthouse 3," "The Witch's Game," "The First Man," and "Spring Fever."
