Actor Oh Yoon-ah's interview in which she mentioned "children" is being reexamined as she forms a new family 11 years after her divorce.
On the 3rd, Oh Yoon-ah announced on her YouTube channel that "I am getting married," conveying the news that she is making a new start.
Oh Yoon-ah said, "I thought I would live diligently with Min for life, but I met a truly good person and decided to get married. My in-laws are also truly good people and welcomed our Min like a grandson." Oh Yoon-ah has completed her marriage registration and is now living together with her spouse.
Oh Yoon-ah, who married a non-celebrity in 2007, divorced in 2015. After the divorce she raised alone a son with developmental disabilities from her previous marriage, and recently she reported her son's employment news along with proud achievements in various competitions.
Oh Yoon-ah's past remarks are drawing attention as she unexpectedly announced her remarriage. In 2024, when she appeared on TV CHOSUN's "Actress's private life," Oh Yoon-ah said in an interview with OSEN that regarding remarriage, "I thought it would be an opportunity to openly talk about my thoughts on why I did not marry for a long time and remained single after my divorce."
In particular, Oh Yoon-ah said, "Acquaintances who watched the broadcast often said, 'You must have had a hard time, you must have had a lot of worries,'" and added, "Because I'm Min's mother, I think those behaviors were often visible on the broadcast. I was also admonished that I shouldn't act like that (on a dating show)."
An interview from a year ago is also being revisited. When Oh Yoon-ah appeared on "Because I'm single," she visited an oriental clinic to check her health, spent healing time with her close friend Baek Z Young, and when asked if she was thinking about marriage she said, "I want to get married. It's been too long since my divorce," adding, "If there is a good person, I would marry anytime. If I have a child, please don't scold me."
It draws attention that about a year after expressing her intention to remarry, Oh Yoon-ah has already completed her marriage registration and formed a family.
