'Hangout With Yoo's popular segment 'War of Money' this time heads to 'Gumi', the hometown of comedian Lee Seon-min.
On the 2nd, OSEN reported that MBC's 'Hangout With Yoo' is currently filming in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The day's filming included Yu Jae-seok, Haha, Heo Kyunghwan, Joo Woo-jae, as well as Yang Sang-guk and Lee Seon-min.
'War of Money' is a popular segment introduced by 'Hangout With Yoo' in 2026, and the original plan named the special as the rural folks' heyday by parodying the film 'Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time' (literally 'War on Crime: The heyday of bad guys'). In the first 'War of Money', Yang Sang-guk came up to Seoul and toured sightseeing spots with the 'Hangout With Yoo' members, and in the process, as they approached the time to pay, the side-betting continued and the name changed to 'War of Money'.
After Seoul, 'War of Money' was held in Yang Sang-guk's hometown Gimhae, Heo Kyunghwan's hometown Tongyeong, and Joo Woo-jae's hometown Changwon, and Yang Sang-guk was joined by 'First Penguin' Lee Seon-min. Later, 'War of Money' featured TVXQ!'s U-Know Yunho and Kwak Beom for a Jeolla-do episode, then returned to Gyeongsang-do where fierce mind games unfolded.
This 'War of Money' stage is 'Gumi', the hometown of Lee Seon-min, who had joined the Changwon episode. Lee Seon-min, who debuted as a 16th class recruited comedian on SBS's 'Laughter' in 2016 and has been active in various YouTube web variety shows and recently started gaining attention on TV variety shows, filmed the driving training content 'My training uncle' with Riseneu Won-i and attracted attention. Based on these activities, he also revealed that his income increased more than tenfold in 10 years since his debut, causing surprise.
After joining 'Hangout With Yoo' and making an impression, Lee Seon-min returned to his hometown with the members. Having first joined 'Hangout With Yoo's 'War of Money' through the Changwon episode, Lee Seon-min immediately livened the mood with physical comedy using a boxing concept and exaggerated reactions, pointed to his phone screen to introduce Gumi specialties, and left a strong impression with his sense of blending in smoothly depending on the situation and his unobtrusive, everyday life–based comedy.
Yang Sang-guk, who was the starting point of 'War of Money' along with Lee Seon-min, has reunited with 'Hangout With Yoo' after a long time. With the addition of Lee Seon-min and Yang Sang-guk, attention is on what kind of laughs the 'Gumi' episode will deliver.
