Actress Oh Yoon-ah announced her remarriage herself about two years after cautiously sharing her views on dating on a public dating program. The genuine care of the prospective husband and prospective in-laws, who warmly embraced her son Min-i with developmental disabilities, was the reason she decided to remarry.
On the 3rd, a video titled 'Oh Yoon-ah new start' was released on the YouTube channel 'Oh!Yoonah'.
On that day, after renewing the channel, Oh Yoon-ah said, "I wonder if I should say this," consulted with her manager and then directly announced, "There is a reason I took a short break from YouTube. I am getting married," surprising everyone with the news of her remarriage. She continued, "I struggled a lot with how to share this remarriage news with you," and added, "I wanted to be the first to reveal it on my YouTube channel. Earlier, Oh Yoon-ah appeared on the 2024 TV CHOSUN entertainment program 'Public dating — an actress's private life' and candidly revealed her feelings about dating and remarriage. About two years later, Oh Yoon-ah is announcing a new start and receiving many congratulations. Oh Yoon-ah married a non-celebrity in 2007 but divorced in 2015. Since then she has raised her son Song Min, who has developmental disabilities, on her own. She confessed, "I raised my child alone for far too long. One reason I hesitated to remarry was because of my child," and added, "I thought I would live like this for the rest of my life, but I met a truly wonderful person and decided to marry."
Above all, she moved people by expressing gratitude toward her prospective in-laws. Oh Yoon-ah said, "My in-laws are truly wonderful people. They welcomed Min as if he were their grandson," and added, "It is really not an easy thing. I thought it would only be possible if it were meant to be." She also showed affection, saying, "My prospective husband has comfortably accepted the child and is very considerate of me." She explained about her prospective groom, "Because he is a non-celebrity, an ordinary person, there are parts that require more caution."
She also revealed why she disclosed the remarriage later than expected.
