Actor Eom Gi-jun spoke honestly about the realities of married life and plans for children.
On the 3rd broadcast of MBN 'Jun Hyun-moo plan 4', Ryu Soo-young and Eom Gi-jun, who are appearing together in the musical 'Those Days', appeared as the first guests of season 4.
That day Jun Hyun-moo recalled, "We used to appear on a program together, and one day Eom Gi-jun called me and asked me to host his wedding," and mentioned Eom Gi-jun's newlywed life after his wedding in December last year.
About his first meeting with his wife, Eom Gi-jun said, "We met in a natural setting and I was smitten," and said, "I thought that with this person I could spend my later years smiling more. I felt it would be much better than being alone."
About married life he said with a laugh, "It's great. it's getting better again," and added frankly, "They say couples fight a lot for the first year after marriage. That was really the case." He continued, "My wife was someone who wanted to cut down on drinking and smoking and live healthily. To me, who had lived alone for more than 20 years, it felt like interference at first," and said, "After many fights we have come to understand and get to know each other."
He also expressed his current thoughts in the third year of marriage. Eom Gi-jun said, "Marriage seems less about trust and more about respecting each other and becoming wiser," and when asked whether he would recommend marriage he said, "Now I would recommend it. If it were last year I wouldn't have recommended it," adding, "We fought that much," which drew laughter with a realistic answer.
He also revealed plans for children. Eom Gi-jun said, "For now I would like to have one daughter," and Ryu Soo-young, who has a daughter, agreed, saying, "Daughters are the best."
He also revealed his newlywed daily life. Eom Gi-jun said, "I come home late after performances, but lately my wife cooks a lot. She watches YouTube and cooks a lot," Jun Hyun-moo, hearing this, said, "I'm jealous. When you're tired, having someone cook for you is the most enviable thing," and added, "When you live alone it's 100% delivery. Later even seeing delivery containers makes me annoyed," expressing envy and eliciting laughter.
