The group aespa shared their feelings about returning with a new full-length album.
aespa held a press conference to commemorate the release of their second full-length album 'LEMONADE' at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 28th, and talked about the new album.
aespa's second full-length album 'LEMONADE' is an album centered on the motif of the "crack (fissure, Crack)" that arises from overlapping numerous data from parallel worlds, conveying the message that even if the world gives us sour lemons, we will express them through our own music — that we greatly enjoy the confusion and cracks we are experiencing.
Karina said, "This album means a lot to us. Because the first full-length album was loved so much, we prepared it with both a sense of burden and excitement. We discussed a lot and 고민하며 고민해서 어떤 모습을 보여드릴까 고심해서 나온 앨범이라 많이 사랑해주셨으면 좋겠다. 저희도 성장한 모습 보여드릴테니 기대부탁드린다".
Giselle said, "Because the last album received more love than expected, I hope this album also receives a lot of love. There are many highly complete and good songs, so please look forward to it," and Ningning said, "I feel both excited and nervous. While there is aespa's unique intensity, you will also feel a relaxed, cool energy. We prepared it with confidence, so I hope you love it a lot."
Winter also added, "I am very excited and have high expectations. We tried to put our various moods and stories into each track. Even while recording, I thought about how we would present it on stage. I hope that when you listen to the album you feel, 'This is aespa.'"
In particular, Karina explained about this album, "The pre-release song 'WDA' and 'LEMONADE' are double titles, and the new worldbuilding begins with this album. I think it will be a more special album. We've often described ourselves as having a metallic taste, but this time we've returned with a sour taste. I think you can spend this summer more refreshing and coolly."
Meanwhile, aespa's second full-length album 'LEMONADE' will be released through various music sites at 1 p.m. on the 29th.
