On the other hand, Shin Gye-sook, who has been single for 64 years, said she started living on her own in Seoul from age 14 and said, "I ran away from home saying I was going to cook and still haven't been able to return home. If I, a solitary senior, die alone, what will happen? I think about it a lot. I feel like I finally have a companion of love," she said.
Meanwhile, Yang Jeong-a married a businessman three years her junior in December 2013. However, she divorced in December 2017, four years after the marriage, and did not disclose the specific reason for the divorce, citing personal privacy.
