Singer and actress Kang Mina directly addressed rumors of discord with I.O.I members.
Recently, Kang Mina explained the rumors on a fan communication platform, saying, "Even today, the members and I almost have daily KakaoTalks saying we miss each other and congratulating each other, and yet there are rumors of discord or whatever."
She added, "Why do people live so tiredly? Instead of that, why don't they congratulate the kids more for being No. 1?"
I.O.I is a project girl group formed through Mnet's 2016 survival program "Produce 101." They celebrated their 10th anniversary by releasing the new album "I.O.I : LOOP" on the 19th and are now actively promoting.
However, members Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqing were unable to participate in the album due to scheduling conflicts. As rumors of discord among members continued, Kang Mina spoke directly and put an end to the rumors.
Meanwhile, Kang Mina appeared in the Netflix series "If Wishes Could Kill," which was released last month. At a press conference, she mentioned her absence from I.O.I's 10th anniversary album, saying, "I thought it was right to proceed with the acting work that was booked first. I feel very sorry to the fans. I will focus on my acting work and show a good side of myself," she said, revealing her true feelings.
