As actor Heo Nam-jun emerges as a rising rom-com king, behind-the-scenes suit cuts that double his charm have been released.

SBS's Friday-Saturday drama "My Royal Nemesis" (directed by Han Tae-seop and Kim Hyun-woo, written by Kang Hyun-joo) is a romantic comedy like a hair-trigger war between Shin Seo-ri, an unknown actor who becomes "vicious" after being possessed by the soul of a notorious Joseon-era villainess, and Cha Se-gye, a vicious chaebol called a monster born of capitalism.

In particular, Heo Nam-jun, who plays the role of evil chaebol Cha Se-gye, not only shows unique character interpretation but is also making female fans swoon with flawless suit styling.

Heo Nam-jun boasts a perfect suit fit that tolerates no margin of error, fitting the cold-hearted evil chaebol who even thinks of marriage in terms of mergers and acquisitions. He completed the character with various designs of tailored suits, including classic single-breasted suits, a formal three-piece suit, and double-breasted suits.

In the early episodes, he wears tone-down colored suits such as all black, navy, and deep burgundy to build the notorious "Parakho" Cha Se-gye character armed with infamy, and as feelings for Joseon villain Shin Seo-ri (Lim Ji-yeon) begin to sprout, he gave romantic variations to the suit styling.

Heo Nam-jun's stylist Shim Yoon-jung said, "To naturally embody the character Cha Se-gye, who wears the armor of infamy, I actively exchanged opinions with the director and the actor to set the styling direction," adding, "Because of Cha Se-gye's personality, we thought he would maintain a styling that fits him perfectly, so we matched the tones not only for the suit but also for shirts and ties and produced them."

She added, "In the early episodes, we maximized coldness with a formal styling featuring peaked lapels (a jacket lapel design that points upward) and a tie. On the other hand, as the romance progressed and Se-ri causes Se-gye to slowly change, we expressed Se-gye's inner transformation by matching casual notched lapels (a basic jacket lapel cut in a V shape), no tie, and brightly colored shirts."

Regarding the 'battle suit tailoring scene,' likened to a male peacock going out to woo in episode 5, Shim Yoon-jung said, "I thought costume was important for this scene. I wanted there to be details that were similar to previous suits yet different so they could show power as battle attire, so we created a sharply styled three-piece suit with a tie pin to convey that it's not just an all-black suit," adding, "We also varied the styling with a silk shirt to emphasize Se-gye's masculinity."

Heo Nam-jun is displaying sexy charm by nailing both acting skills and suit styling. He, who is capturing female viewers' hearts with his acting and visuals, is generating anticipation about what kind of activities he will show next.
