Support is pouring in for the group god, which has reached 10,000 days since its debut. In response, god will open a large-scale K-pop project linked with a major domestic theme park and hold a festival.
God, who debuted in 1999, has reached 10,000 days since debut. To mark the monumental day, god will hold the 10,000-day debut commemorative large-scale project "Sky Blue Balloon Week" at Everland in Yongin, Gyeonggi, from the 28th to the 31st.
"Sky Blue Balloon Week," under the theme ONE FAMILY, will unfold as a symbolic festival centered on god that shares a generation's memories and friendships and, more broadly, special ties in K-pop history with fans. On the 29th, the unit HoooW, composed of Andrew Son·Kim Tae Woo, will hold a concert; on the 30th, a god fan concert; and on the 31st, a busking concert. Over four days, pop-up stores, exhibitions and experiential content, member-specific events, and fan participation programs will take place across Everland.
In the celebratory video released ahead of "Sky Blue Balloon Week," fellow singers Gummy, Noul, Lyn, Jeah, K.WILL, BTOB's Seo Eunkwang, and Big Mama's Lee Young Hyun participated. Kim Joon-hyun and Shin Dong-yeob injected energy with their characteristic lively spirits, and actors Song Il-gook and Oh Man-seok also lent support with messages of encouragement. Junior idol groups including BOYNEXTDOOR, STAYC, Psycers, ILLIT, ATEEZ, and ITZY conveyed their respect for god and messages celebrating 10,000 days.
Jason Lee, chief operating officer of Gemstone E&M, said the group god "is a symbol that connects generations," adding that the sincere congratulations from senior and junior colleagues and fellow artists are making god's 10,000 days even more special.
