'I'm SOLO LIVE' 31st season contestant Sunja did not mince words about the conflict with Jeong-hee, Young-suk and Ok-soon that appeared in the show's main episode.
On the 28th, Chonjang Entertainment TV aired a live broadcast as a post-broadcast review of the 31st season of I'm SOLO.
In the live broadcast, Jeong-hee, Young-suk and Ok-soon offered apologies to Sunja. However, Sunja said "I wrote something," adding, "I tried to act bright as if nothing had happened. After filming I also went to a class gathering. A women's group chat was created and it was 'girls talk,'" she said. 'Girls talk' refers to the incident on the show in which Ok-soon, Jeong-hee and Young-suk talked about Sunja within earshot of Sunja.
Sunja mentioned the discomfort she felt in the women's group chat, saying, "I was not pleased when someone mixed lightness and rudeness by asking me, 'Are you still seeing Kyung-soo?' about my relationship with Kyung-soo."
Sunja continued, "On the first day of broadcast some people gathered at Sang-cheol's house to watch episode 1. After the viewing ended some went home and some stayed drinking; because Jeong-hee, who is the person involved, was there, I complained about the humiliation I experienced in Solonara. I had the courage to open up because Jeong-hee was directly involved, but the reaction at that time was very cold," she said.
In addition, Sunja said she was scolded by an unrelated cast member who said, "Aren't you being too sensitive? Why bring this up here and ruin the mood?"
Among Young-suk, Ok-soon and Jeong-hee, Jeong-hee was the only one who wrote an apology at the time of the broadcast. Jeong-hee later deleted it, but on that day's live she said, "It's not exactly an apology letter, but many people are curious that I wrote and then deleted a post related to an apology. I first wrote that I reflected on my actions. Comments about apologies started, so I mentioned it more. It wasn't something only about me; after all, Sunja's feelings existed and the production staff were involved, so I couldn't hastily post. I had to be careful with every action," she said, revealing she deleted it at the producers' suggestion.
Sunja said, "Afterward I received a sincere apology from Jeong-hee. I felt that Jeong-hee's remarks then were not about me but rather simple agreement, and I felt there was no malice, so I resolved the matter."
Sunja said she was contacted by Young-suk and Ok-soon after episode 5, that is, after the 'girls talk' scene aired. Sunja said, "Young-suk asked, 'Sunja, are you mentally okay?' and Ok-soon said, 'What is going on? I think sister misunderstood something. If sister was hurt by hearing only one person's story, I'm sorry,'" adding that she continued to receive contact from them after episode 6. Before apologizing, Ok-soon had first mentioned that she "did not receive contact" without mentioning a subject.
Sunja said, "However, until before episode 6 I thought there was plenty of time to apologize after appearing on Solonara, and I thought they had not reflected themselves by then. I only saw their alarms and did not read the messages."
Sunja concluded maturely, saying, "There was a very heated atmosphere online. I also received excessive criticism and malicious comments. I can't guess their feelings because they seem even more outraged than this. But I think this is a problem we should resolve personally. Viewers' excessive worry and comfort gave me great strength."
