The group aespa shared their thoughts on working with G-DRAGON.
aespa held a press conference on the afternoon of the 28th at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their second full-length album 'LEMONADE' and talked about the new album.
The pre-release title track 'WDA (Whole Different Animal) (Feat. G-DRAGON)' is a hip-hop-based dance song whose grand synth bass and heavy hook give a sense of overwhelming power, and through lyrics that capture aespa's further solidified growth, it announced a new chapter in their universe. In particular, G-DRAGON participated as a featuring artist, drawing attention.
Regarding working with G-DRAGON, Karina said, "When we received the demo for 'WDA,' we had featuring in mind from the start. When thinking about who could best bring that part to life, we discussed it with the company and a senior artist graciously agreed to take part."
She continued, "Thanks to the senior artist our song became so cool, and it was a part we liked. We had looked forward to that section, and the senior artist stylishly brought it to life in his own way, so I think it became a great song," expressing her gratitude.
