Kim Soo-hyun's side said, "The deceased's KakaoTalk conversations (made public to the public) were found to have been falsified and altered from conversations with persons unrelated to Kim Soo-hyun, and the deceased's voice was also confirmed to be manipulated material generated using AI technology," and added that accordingly, because violations were recognized of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation by dissemination of false facts), the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, violations such as distribution of recordings made with a camera and coercion to use recordings, threats and the seriousness of the matter, the court issued arrest warrants to those who raised the allegations.
Kim Soo-hyun, who had been raising his profile as the "Queen of Tears," plunged after controversies raised following the death of the late Kim Sae-ron. The late Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family claimed, citing the deceased's texts and letters, that Kim Sae-ron was 15 and Kim Soo-hyun was 27 when they began dating in 2015, and Kim Soo-hyun was engulfed in "grooming" allegations.

To prove this, I submitted the 2016 and 2018 KakaoTalks that the bereaved family submitted and the KakaoTalks I had with acquaintances this year to an institution that scientifically analyzes them. That institution concluded that they were not the person from 2016 and 2018."
In particular, Kim Soo-hyun said, "Not everything that is not true becomes true. Just as I underwent verification procedures, the bereaved family will thoroughly verify all the things they present as evidence through investigative agencies," saying he would make sure to reveal the truth.
