With Kim Sol-ma-ro PD appointed as the new director of the country's longest-running variety show 'Running Man,' curiosity about the new PD continues.
On the 26th, OSEN reported that Kim Sol-ma-ro PD will take over as the new director of SBS' 'Running Man.' Kim Sol-ma-ro PD will serve as the main director starting with episode 805, which airs on the 31st.
In this regard, an SBS official told OSEN, "Kim Sol-ma-ro PD will take over as the main director of 'Running Man.' Kim Sol-ma-ro PD recently co-directed 'Whenever there is a chance' with PD Choi Bo-pil."
Earlier, news of the 'Running Man' PD change was first revealed during last week's broadcast. Yu Jae-seok said, "This is PD Hyung-seon's last day. He is leaving for childcare. It is a blessing," and 'Running Man' also introduced in subtitles, "Starting next week we will continue to run excitedly with a new PD."
Accordingly, the PD who newly joined is Kim Sol-ma-ro PD. Kim Sol-ma-ro PD has been recognized for her directing through various variety shows that showcase a keen sense of subject matter, including SBS' House Manager for One Day, The Fan, Mysteri 8-1000 season 2, Green Fathers' Association, and National Meddling Trial.
With directing skills that cross genres and having recently directed Whenever there is a chance while working with Yu Jae-seok, there is curiosity about what kind of synergy she will create on the newly joined 'Running Man.'
Also, with the arrival of the new PD, 'Running Man''s eternal member Jeon So-min will make a surprise guest appearance. Jeon So-min recently filmed 'Running Man' together with actor Kim Kyeong-nam. Jeon So-min will appear on 'Running Man' again 10 months after appearing as a guest in October last year and is expected to show perfect chemistry with the members.
Meanwhile, 'Running Man,' which has added Kim Sol-ma-ro PD, airs every Sunday at 6:10 p.m.
