'You Quiz on the Block' Park Ji-hyun cited the presence of her father as one of the sources of her acting strength showcased in You and Everything Else.
On the 27th, tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter 'You Quiz') featured Park Ji-hyun. Last year in the Netflix drama You and Everything Else, Park Ji-hyun, who was praised for her remarkable acting chemistry with Kim Go-eun that felt like a literary work, he shared behind-the-scenes stories of the production.
Park Ji-hyun said, "Sang-yeon is a sick friend, diagnosed with terminal cancer and living a life with a limited time. I thought about how I could feel this pain even once, how I could get as close to death as possible," adding, "I also fasted and lived for three weeks drinking only water or coffee. What I felt then was that my esophagus and stomach seemed to stick together. My body became thin but my face felt swollen."
Park Ji-hyun revealed that her father, who is a doctor, had stomach cancer. She asked him about this pain and said, "My father said, 'If it weren't for my family, I just wanted to die.' At that moment I understood what Sang-yeon's feelings were like," noting that she sought an answer from her father.
