Broadcaster Lee Sang-min flaunts a passionate relationship with his wife, who is 10 years his junior, while sounding an alarm over a chilling true story about a couple whose thoughtless dare led to tragedy.
Today (the 27th) at 11:40 p.m., episode 21 of the KBS Joy variety show "Gwaedam Note 2" will bring to living rooms a strange and shocking true ghost story born of simple curiosity and rude behavior.
On this episode, the story of a couple who visited an abandoned motel famous as a 'spot where ghosts appear' will be unveiled. The two, who entered the abandoned motel as a lighthearted prank, did not hesitate to show rude speech and behavior toward the deceased, and afterward their daily lives began to collapse uncontrollably.
In particular, it will portray the process by which not only do they share the same nightmare every night but even their feelings and actions toward each other bizarrely change, creating tension. On the brink of destruction, the couple eventually seeks out a shaman and confronts the shocking truth that they provoked a being they must never have touched.
The shaman watching in the studio strongly warned, "It is very dangerous to handle the deceased carelessly or to consume them as gossip. The deceased should also be treated with respect as a person." He added the weighty advice, "If you cherish the suffering of others, you will ultimately be able to keep your own life peaceful," which reportedly made the studio solemn. MC Lee Sang-min also nodded, saying, "Acting rashly solely out of curiosity and personal gain is extremely dangerous."
Meanwhile, in the opening the MCs' cheerful 'real-friend chemistry' explodes, reversing the eerie atmosphere. In celebration of May, family month, during a conversation, Jo Choong-hyun suddenly asked Lee Sang-min, "Did you marry without even checking compatibility with your sister-in-law?"
In response, Lee Sang-min, who is enjoying a sweet newlywed life with a wife 10 years younger, immediately showed his doting side, saying, "Our couple's compatibility is the best." On an earlier show, Lee Sang-min introduced himself as "a newlywed who adores his wife," and regarding the identity of his wife, who had been shrouded in mystery, he said, "My first impression was actress Kim Hee-seon," causing a stir in the studio. He also previously said that he is currently preparing for a second child.
Then Lee Sang-min jokingly posed a counterquestion to the shamans, asking, "Isn't there any way for Mr. and Mrs. Jo Choong-hyun's marital harmony to get even better?" which made the studio burst into laughter. This raises curiosity about what the 'special oath to reduce couple fights' personally taught by the shamans might be.
