Singer-songwriter Isaac Hong successfully concluded his solo concert.
Isaac Hong successfully completed the solo concert "Sway," held for three days from the 23rd to the 25th at Ticketlink 1975 Theater in Neung-dong, Gwangjin District, Seoul, and shared a deep musical rapport with fans.
This concert portrayed the process of accepting life's anxieties and wavering through dynamic rhythms with cinematic staging over about 120 minutes on stage.
The performance was divided into four chapters — ◇ "A gentle sway: the sway that began," ◇ "Swaying in the dark: we are swayed," ◇ "Still, we sway: it's okay to be swayed," ◇ "Grounded in the sway: nevertheless we move forward" — and unfolded organically like a film.
On stage, Isaac Hong offered warm yet weighty consolation with a candid remark to the audience, saying, "I have become accustomed to swaying, and I have found the answer that it's okay to be swayed."
In particular, at this concert Isaac Hong filled the setlist solely with his own songs, fully conveying his deep musical color and identity.
Starting with the opening song "Walking the road," every song was newly arranged to give listeners a sense of freshness. The organic flow from "Even as time passes" to "Hi, hope you're well.", and the emotionally charged performance that moved into an a cappella "Lovers" while singing "I will only love you" drew gasps from the audience.
On the "Cloud" stage, a dreamy up-fog production evoking actual clouds was presented, and on the new song "Castle" stage, a lavish confetti effect multiplied the visual impact.
Isaac Hong passionately sang the unreleased song "Dark-colored soil" and the new album track "Puzzle" during the encore. In particular, he splendidly capped the concert with a grand and passionate guitar performance.
As he finished the stage, he thanked the audience, saying, "I hope those who have swayed and those who are swaying now live sharing consolation and support with each other. If this time today was even a small help, I am glad."
