Singer Kyubin has confirmed a major debut in Japan after partnering with Epic Records Japan, under Sony Music Labels, Japan's largest music company.
Kyubin released a Japanese version of his Korean debut song "Really Like You" last year and embarked on pre-debut activities in Japan. Riding the strong local response at the time, which raised expectations for an official debut, he is set to make his full debut on June 12.
His Japanese major debut song is "You Light Up My Life," a track that captures Kyubin's distinctive sensibility and refreshing energy. The main jacket photo was also released, drawing a strong response from global fans.
Ahead of his Japanese debut, Kyubin has been making his presence felt on major local stages. On the 24th, he performed in Nagaoka, Japan, at the "Nagaoka Kome Festival," appearing as the only Korean singer since last year and meeting local audiences.
That day Kyubin performed stages including "CAPPUCCINO," "Evergreen," "Satellite," and "Really Like You (Japanese Version)" with a Japanese band session, and he received praise for singing Aimyong's "Marigold" as a cover.
In particular, he premiered the band live version of his Japanese major debut song "You Light Up My Life," due for release on June 12, heating up the atmosphere at the venue.
