On the 25th, the YouTube channel "Sung Si Kyung" uploaded a video titled "I.O.I came to hear stories after meeting for the first time in 10 years." That day the I.O.I members met Sung Si Kyung and talked.
Sung Si Kyung asked how they decided to reunite. Chung Ha opened up, "Although we often met in small groups, I felt a great regret because we broke up after a short activity period of one year. At that time we couldn't even appear on all the music shows."
She continued, "We always said, 'let's get together if we ever have the chance,' and suddenly it became the 10th anniversary," adding, "With a mentality of nothing to lose, I called the members directly, and the reunion was made possible as the members actively communicated with their respective agencies."
Yoo Yeon-jung added, "I kept thinking, 'if we don't release an album this time, we really won't,' so I felt, 'let's do it this time' and we made a comeback."
Afterward Jeon Somi said, "If we start activities, it will already end, so I feel regret," expressing her thoughts. In response Yoo Yeon-jung said, "In the past, because we felt like a 'group with a set expiration date' we were so cautious we couldn't even fight," adding, "Now we clash with each other but resolve things right away," which warmed hearts.
Meanwhile, I.O.I drew great attention by reuniting nine years after their debut 10th anniversary. This new release looks back on I.O.I's past 10 years and captures the present moment of them meeting again.
I.O.I began promoting with the release of their third mini album on the 19th and will hold solo concerts in Seoul from the 29th to the 31st, starting an Asia tour.
