Actress Seon Woo-yong-nyeo candidly shared her own investment philosophy and outlook on life.
Recently, a shorts video titled "Seon Woo-yong-nyeo's rebuke of the current situation of people living obsessed with stocks" was released on Seon Woo-yong-nyeo's YouTube channel.
In the video, Seon Woo-yong-nyeo visited land in Yangsu-ri, Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi, which she had purchased in the past with Jeon Won-ju, and shared her thoughts on assets and investing. She said, "I've never bought a house or land thinking 'it's going to go up' or 'it will be worth this much,'" and added, "If I bought it because I liked it, that was the end of it."
She then voiced her thoughts on recent investment culture. Regarding the overheated stock market, Seon Woo-yong-nyeo said, "People who trade stocks must be so tired," and added, "Aren't they just looking at their phones all day saying 'it went up, it went down'? It doesn't seem like normal stress." When the producers said, "Even when you're young, it's probably good to buy at least one cheap plot of land," she advised, "If you get money, buy land rather than stocks."
However, what she emphasized more than simple financial planning was an attitude toward life. Seon Woo-yong-nyeo said, "Even if a situation comes where I have to move someday, I live with the mindset that 'I could go there and live under a tarp,'" and added, "You never know what will happen in a person's life." She went on, "Even if you have nothing, be confident. The person who lives with dignity is the best," expressing her convictions.
