Channel A's "The Time of Dogs and Wolves 2," which looks beyond dog behavior correction to examine owners' personal circumstances, foreshadowed marital conflict reminiscent of a divorce program.
On the 27th episode to be broadcast on the 27th, episode 20 of Channel A's "The Time of Dogs and Wolves 2" will reveal a hair-trigger story of a 27-year-old couple the same age living with a total of six pets, including four dogs and two cats.
The daily life of "Songpa Hijukine," appearing this week as "Wolf No. 2," was rocky from the start. The mother owner applied for the solution without prior consultation with her husband, which proved to be the trigger. When the father owner learned of this on site, he became enraged and even expressed refusal to film, putting the production team on edge.
Filming barely resumed thanks to the production team's mediation, but the couple's conflict did not subside and remained tense. In particular, the mother owner showed strong attachment to the pets and did not hesitate to make the explosive remark "If I can't keep all six, I will get a divorce," shocking the studio. By contrast, the father owner appeared visibly exhausted as he complained about the endless adoptions and the resulting realistic financial and physical burdens.
The expression of "dog president" Kang Hyung-wook, who watched the couple's uncompromising exchange, also grew increasingly heavy. The solution struggled as the issue went beyond a simple dog behavioral problem and threatened the foundation of the couple's relationship.
Reports say MC Kim Sung-Ju even stepped in to position himself as a mediator of the couple's conflict. To bridge the widening gap between the two, the show reportedly prescribed the first-ever "couple homework" for owners, not for dogs, in the history of "The Time of Dogs and Wolves".
