Marking their 15th anniversary, the group Boyfriend (BOYFRIEND) returned as a full lineup and shared their feelings ahead of a restarted journey.
Boyfriend will release the full audio of their sixth mini album 'Boyager 6' at 6 p.m. on the 26th on various online music sites, and will present the music video for the title track "The voices of ours that embroidered the night sky" on their official YouTube channel.
This album contains a total of six tracks, including the title track "The voices of ours that embroidered the night sky," "Deja vu," "Footsteps," "Today again," "Time Limit," and an instrumental version, and captures the journey of the six members who became one again after spending their own times moving toward new dreams. In particular, member Jeongmin participated in producing the album and contributed lyrics to four songs, and all members actively added their opinions from the planning stage through recording direction and choreography composition to complete the authenticity of the 15th anniversary album.
As they celebrate their 15th debut anniversary, Donghyun said, "I am very grateful to be able to celebrate Boyfriend's 15th anniversary, which has been with me for most of my life, together with the members. As it is our comeback after a long time, I am very excited, and I want to show fans the looks we have prepared for a long time as soon as possible," expressing his overwhelming feelings.
Hyunseong said, "In the past, it felt like Donghyun hyung led the team as the leader, but now it feels like all the members share the weight of the name Boyfriend and grow together. As each of our times has accumulated, we've become stronger, and I think we've become a team that trusts and relies on each other," citing what has changed.
Regarding this album, Jeongmin said, "What I considered most important in working on the album was not disappointing those who have remembered and supported us for a long time. While not losing the sensibility and atmosphere unique to Boyfriend that many remember, I tried to naturally capture the stories we can show now," and Youngmin said, "This choreography contains the choreography points of our debut song 'Boyfriend' and our last promotional song 'Star.' We wanted to naturally blend the time Boyfriend has continued from debut to now, so I think this song's stage encompasses both our past and present," explaining the stage points.
In particular, Gwangmin appealed, "I hope that through this promotion, Boyfriend and Bestfriend can be together for even longer than now. While keeping Boyfriend's inherent charm as it is, we will continue to show new sides that we haven't shown so far, so please give us a lot of interest and anticipation."
Boyfriend, who are ready to meet fans again. Donghyun said, "Fifteen years have passed before we knew it. I promised that I would stay with Boyfriend until the day I can always be with the fans, and I am really happy and grateful to be able to keep that promise again.
