'Golden' became the song of the year at the 2026 AMA.
On the 25th (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the United States, at the 2026 American Music Awards (hereafter '2026 AMA'), the theme song of the Netflix animated film K-pop Demon Hunters, 'Golden (GOLDEN)', won the Song of the Year award.
'K-pop Demon Hunters' was nominated for best soundtrack, and Huntrix's performance of 'Golden' was nominated for song of the year, best vocal performance, and best pop song, and 'Golden' had the honor of winning song of the year.
Among the nominees for song of the year were Taylor Swift's The Fate of Ophelia, Alex Warren's Ordinary, and Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem, but 'Golden' won, beating out strong competition.
Singers Lee Jae and Ray Ami, who sang as Huntrix, attended the awards ceremony and shared their thoughts; Lee Jae said, "This song and the film drew great strength from the fans. I closed the 혼문. I thank the fans and the K-pop Demon Hunters team."
Meanwhile, K-pop Demon Hunters is an animated film about K-pop group Huntrix driving out evil spirits through music, and it surpassed Squid Game to become the most-viewed film in Netflix history.
The theme song 'Golden' also received global love and had the honor of collecting trophies at major music awards such as the Grammy Awards, the Golden Globes, and the Academy Awards.
