Broadcaster Pungja emitted an unprecedentedly clumsy charm and faced a forced sleeping-out crisis during an ambitious backpacking trip to Biyangdo, Jeju.
On the afternoon of the 25th, a video titled 'Camping on one of Korea's three major sacred islands | island within an island within an island: Biyangdo, Jeju backpacking' was uploaded to the YouTube channel PungjaTV.
Pungja said, 안녕하세요 여러분 오늘은 비양도에 왔습니다, opening the trip with palpable excitement. Pungja explained the unique location of Biyangdo, famous among backpackers, saying, 여기가 섬 안의 섬 안의 섬이에요. 제주도도 섬이잖아요. 그 안에 우도라는 섬에 들어오고 우도에서 비양도 이렇게 온 겁니다.
Pungja said, 제가 이번 연도에 백패킹 많이 해보고 싶다고 했잖아요. 우리나라의 3대 성지가 있단 말이에요. 백패킹 3대 성지. 그중의 하나가 비양도입니다, adding, 제주살이를 할 때 꼭 비양도 오고 싶었는데 오늘 날을 잡고 이렇게 왔습니다, revealing she had realized her dream.
But the excitement was short-lived: after arriving at Biyangdo and working hard to pitch her tent, Pungja encountered an unexpected emergency. Facing the camera, Pungja said, 여러분 큰일 났어요. 저 매트 안 가져왔어요 집에서, startling everyone.
Pungja, who said she had brought only two sleeping bags instead of the essential backpacking mat, could not hide her embarrassment. She comforted herself, saying, 이러면 진짜 노숙이 돼버리는 건데 그래도 잔디밭이니까 좀 괜찮지 않을까요?
However, upon seeing the pitiful scene of only a single straw mat spread on the tent floor, Pungja finally burst into a wry laugh. Seemingly baffled by her situation, she laughed, 이거 노숙자 아니냐구. 돗자리는 챙겨왔는데 매트를 안 가져왔어. 어쩔 수 없죠. 그냥 자야죠, drawing attention.
