Broadcaster Lee Kyung-sil expressed a touching sentiment as she mentioned the benefactor in her life who stayed by her side during hard times.
On the 25th episode of KBS2 entertainment show 'Malja Show,' the question 'Who is loyal friend Lee Kyung-sil's benefactor?' came up. In response, Lee Kyung-sil named Sunwoo Yong-nyeo without hesitation.
She said, "I consider Sunwoo Yong-nyeo, who lives in the same neighborhood as me, to be my benefactor," expressing her gratitude. She went on to confess, "When I go through hard times, I don't say anything to my acquaintances and just stay at home." But each time that happens, Sunwoo Yong-nyeo reaches out first. Lee Kyung-sil said with a laugh, "She calls and says, 'Where are you? Come out!' and only says what she wants to say and hangs up. I can't not go out."
She added, "Even while eating, she doesn't talk much. She just says, 'Eat well,' 'Eat and hang in there,' 'Don't try to explain,' 'You living well is helping,'" conveying this. In particular, she said, "Because a person like that was by my side, I think I was able to endure," and added, "There are probably people like that around you, too, so I hope you endure well," leaving a deep impression.
That day Lee Kyung-sil also shared her thoughts about family. Mentioning that she had lived with her birth mother, she said, "It has been about three years since my mother went down to Gunsan." She also offered practical advice regarding a couple living with a mother-in-law. Lee Kyung-sil said, "Children are important, but the couple comes first. That boundary is important from the daughter's position," and added, "Parents are happy when the couple lives happily, and children learn by seeing their parents live happily."
